The name Reef was inspired by the beautiful blues and greens in this Sacred Kingfisher's feathers. I felt a sense of calm painting this guy, it was my first ever time painting on natural linen and the feeling of the paint gliding across this gorgeous natural fibre reminded me of waves lapping against sand.
